I recently attended the "Write to Learn"conference in Osage Beach, Missouri. As a first year teacher, this was the first chance I've had to attend a conference. Originally, I was supposed to attend with a colleague, but life happens, and she was unable to go with me. Even though I missed my trailer-mate (we share an outdoor trailer classroom), I could not have asked for a better experience.
Not only was I able to meet several teachers from all over the state, I was also able to meet, converse, and complete workshops with authors of educational study books I studied in college.
Talking with Donalyn Miller and Cris Tovani inspired me to start a blog. I figure, if these amazing women can both teach and motivate other teachers to make the most of their classroom, then I could do the same.
So, that's what I'm here to do. Share my experiences and hopefully hear some of yours.
